Duties

• Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms with accuracy and professionalism.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and treatment plans.
• Facilitate patient service by answering questions, providing education on medications or procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Maintain medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Contribute to clinic efficiency through medical office management tasks such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and data entry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support inpatient experience or trauma center protocols when applicable.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification from an accredited program is required.
• 2 or more years of experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable with talking to patients on the phone.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and documentation.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is necessary.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to work effectively within diverse healthcare teams.
