Growing cabinetry business looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional to join our team. You will split your time between warehouse operations/deliveries (25 hours/week) and light field service/cabinet adjustments (15 hours/week). This is not a heavy construction or custom framing job. It is a specialized role for a handy professional who takes pride in precision, organization, and customer service.
What You Will Do:
- Logistics (65%): Receive, organize, and stage cabinet inventory in our warehouse. Safely load and deliver materials to local job sites using company vehicles.
- Service & Installation (35%): Perform light, precision field adjustments on-site. This includes swapping out damaged cabinet doors, drawer fronts, adjusting hinges for perfect alignment, and occasionally swapping out single cabinet units.
What We Are Looking For:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong comfort and proficiency using cordless drills, levels, and hand tools. You must have a sharp eye for alignment (straight lines and even gaps).
- Professionalism: You will interact with our clients on delivery sites. A professional attitude, clean appearance, and solid communication skills are required.
- Physical Ability: Able to safely lift, move, and maneuver heavy cabinet units (up to 75 lbs) with assistance or lifting equipment.
- Clean Driving Record: Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean record to operate company delivery vehicles.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, and handyman services. Cabinet installation or light carpentry experience is required.
