Technical Support Analyst (IT Help Desk)

Position Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated and customer-focused Technical Support Analyst to join our IT Help Desk team. In this role, you will deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical assistance to end-users across all levels of technical proficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and excels at providing top-tier service both in person and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- End-User Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for personal computers, mobile devices, business applications, authentication, and connectivity issues.
- Ticket Management: Monitor, prioritize, and process incoming support calls and electronic tickets to ensure timely resolution.
- System & Asset Administration: Process software installations and permission changes. Deploy, retrieve, track, and audit IT hardware assets and software licenses.
- Escalation & Collaboration: Escalate complex technical incidents to upper-tier specialists or appropriate vendors/contractors when necessary.
- Operations & Monitoring: Participate in daily system checks, IT infrastructure monitoring, and report system/network outages per established protocols.
- Documentation & Projects: Assist in creating/maintaining work instructions, participate in system/infrastructure testing, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
- User Training: Provide technical guidance and basic training to end-users and team members as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant IT support / help desk experience.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional customer service mindset, strong analytical and organizational skills, and excellent verbal/written communication abilities.
- Work Style: Self-motivated, proactive, highly collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced work environment.
- Learning Agility: Ability to assimilate technical materials and documentation independently.
Preferred:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certifications: ITIL certification is highly desirable.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, walk, talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle equipment. Must be physically able to walk to all yard locations and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
