Archaeology Field Technicians/ Crew Leads/ Project Coordinator
Project Overview
We are seeking Archaeological field technicians, crew leads, and a project coordinator for a large cultural resources survey outside Fort Stockton, Texas. The project supports a major power-generation/data-center development covering approximately 90,000 acres.
The first field session is expected to begin in mid-to-late August and last approximately 12 days. During this session, the team will survey roughly 7,000–10,000 acres. Responsibilities will include extensive hiking, completing approximately 10 shovel tests per technician each day, site recording, and other standard archaeological survey duties. Overtime is expected.
The project is anticipated to resume in November and continue for approximately seven to eight months. The tentative long-term schedule is 10 days on and four days off, working 10-hour days.
Candidates with archaeological experience in West Texas, New Mexico, or the surrounding region are strongly preferred.
Pay ranges:
Crew leads must have prior field director experience or several years of experience as a crew chief. Rental vehicles will be provided for crew leads so they can transport their assigned crews.
