Small class sizes with highly trained and experienced instructors, ensure a safe and fun aquatic experience for learners. Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage the aquatic environment with a focus on safety
• Assess student age and skills for appropriate class placement
• Teach swim skills to children and adults using the provided Hudson Valley Swim Curriculum
• Creatively incorporate diverse and fun activities into each lesson
• Observe and document participant skills and progress
• Assess participant’s swimming skills and progress
• Communicate promptly and effectively with participants and families
• Maintain high instructional standards to support program growth
• Maintain safety certifications (first aid, CPR, AED)

Qualifications

• A Minimum of 2 years swim instruction experience
• A positive, fun-loving, team attitude with a good sense of humor
• Proficient oral, written and typed communication skills
• Dedicated work ethic
• Love of teaching and water sports
• A desire to grow professionally
• Availability for evening classes 4pm-8pm or Saturday mornings 9am-1pm
