The Mountain Fountain Llc in Longmont, CO is looking for a baker / cook, 18 years or older to join our 20+ person strong team, in our small in-house commercial kitchen.

We are a local community Market/Gluten Free bakery/deli located on 11809 North 75 Th Street, Longmont. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, easy to work with, a team player, and focused.

Baking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and measure Gluten Free ingredients
• Mix and blend batters
• Assemble pies and quiches
• Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form breads, sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, or other products.
• Cook eggs, potatoes and meat for burritos. Cook pie fillings, both sweet and savory. Prep an array of vegetables for a variety of products, including GF lasagnas.
• Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
• Follow a recipe and produce consistent results

Qualifications

• MUST be able to follow directions
• Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
• MUST be able to work with a team of bakers and FOH staff towards one goal
• Previous baking experience preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including at least one weekend morning, some early mornings and/or some late afternoons/evenings and some holidays as needed.
• Keep a clean and safe work area
• Work well with others

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds.
• In an average work day: standing/walking 4-7 hours.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
• Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment.
• Walking up and down stairs

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts some morning/ some afternoon/early evening (until 7pm), must be able to work one weekend day. Compensation is commensurate with experience

The Mountain Fountain is a funky, sweet little country store nestled at the crossroads of Boulder, Longmont and Lyons, featuring an eclectic mix of regionally sourced food and gift items that capture the spirit of the surrounding communities. We are very community oriented and have a very supportive and friendly staff and customer base.

We are also a gluten free bakery, a coffee bar, a deli with salads, soups and sandwiches made-to-order (including a separate Gluten Free station), a wide variety of bottled drinks; and a butcher shop with locally pastured meats. We support our local Hygiene farms and ranches, as well as many Colorado and regional food producers, makers and artisans.
