Job Overview
This Paralegal position provides legal and administrative support to attorneys handling workers' compensation claims. This role is responsible for managing case files from intake through resolution, ensuring compliance with deadlines, and maintaining accurate documentation. They will also serve as a key point of contact for clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, and opposing counsel. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Summarize cases, draft and file pleadings, and prepare reports for attorneys.
- Interpret medical records, research and investigate facts, and develop legal arguments.
- Be the key point of contact for the client regarding their case. Address concerns and work with interested parties to further the case.
- Organize and file documents related to completed and ongoing cases.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal license, or 2 years paralegal experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in research, law, documentation, or a medical background is a plus.
