Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Hilo Tugger Trainer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and training employees on Hilo/tugger equipment, with a proven ability to provide hands-on instruction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for training employees on the safe and proper operation of Hilo/tugger equipment while ensuring all training is conducted in accordance with company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional training experience
• 30-Hour OSHA Outreach Training card required
• Proven Hilo/tugger operating experience
• Previous experience training employees on Hilo/tugger equipment
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety procedures and material-handling practices
• Ability to conduct both classroom and hands-on equipment training
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to evaluate employees' understanding and equipment-operating skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct new-hire and refresher training for Hilo/tugger operators
• Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrate proper equipment operation
• Train employees on safe material-handling procedures and workplace practices
• Evaluate employees through written and/or practical assessments
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation
• Identify unsafe operating practices and provide corrective instruction
• Reinforce company safety policies and OSHA-related requirements
• Work closely with management and safety personnel to maintain a strong safety culture
• Provide additional training or retraining when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a trainer in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
• Experience with multiple types of material-handling equipment
• Familiarity with powered industrial truck safety and operator training
• Previous experience developing or maintaining training materials
