This role requires direct patient interaction, proficiency in scheduling and electronic medical record systems, and careful verification of insurance information, including vision insurance. A friendly and professional demeanor is crucial for both in-person reception and phone correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls promptly using a cloud-based phone system
• Screen and manage voicemail messages efficiently
• Schedule patient appointments using specialized scheduling software
• Welcome and register patients upon arrival with professionalism
• Verify patient insurance details, including vision insurance
• Maintain clear communication and coordination within the medical team
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical reception
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with appointment scheduling software and EMR systems
