Class A CDL Driver – Local Delivery
Location: Anchorage, AK 99515
Pay: $30–$31 per hour
Job Type: Temp driver to Potential for Permanent Hire
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team for a short-term contractor assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
This is a local delivery route, with deliveries generally within approximately 20 miles of the distribution center. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and comfortable handling both driving and physical delivery responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local delivery routes
- Load, secure, and inspect products before departure
- Drive to multiple customer locations throughout the route
- Safely unload and deliver products to customers
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, deliveries, and any issues
- Maintain required driving and delivery logs
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all applicable safety regulations and company procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Safe driving record and strong commitment to safety
- Ability to safely load, secure, unload, and deliver products
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently while staying in communication with dispatch
