Position Overview

The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced audiovisual (AV) production environment. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, prepping, testing, loading, unloading, and returning audio, video, lighting, staging, and related production equipment.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with professional AV equipment in a deadline-driven environment. This position works closely with the Warehouse Manager, Project Managers, and Truck Drivers to ensure equipment is properly prepared and ready for each event.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Assist with daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, staging, prep, and returns
• Pull and organize equipment according to event pull sheets and production specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Properly handle, label, store, and transport sensitive AV equipment
• Assist with keeping warehouse equipment and work areas organized and accessible
• Follow established warehouse procedures and safety practices

Event Preparation & De-Prep

• Assist with event prep and de-prep for audio, video, lighting, staging, and related equipment
• Pull, organize, and prepare equipment for upcoming events
• Test equipment and identify damaged or malfunctioning gear prior to shipment
• Check equipment back in following events and return it to the proper inventory location
• Identify missing or damaged equipment and report issues to the Warehouse Manager
• Assist with cleaning, maintaining, and preparing equipment for future use

Inventory Management

• Help maintain accurate inventory of AV equipment and assets
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
• Ensure equipment is returned to the correct location after events
• Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged equipment
• Assist with tracking equipment movement in the warehouse and on job sites
• Familiarity with Current RMS is a plus, but not required

Logistics & Truck Loading

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Organize equipment efficiently to ensure safe and accurate transportation
• Assist with incoming deliveries, pickups, and equipment returns
• Verify equipment against pull sheets and transfer documentation
• Communicate shortages, damaged equipment, or other issues to the appropriate team member

Team Support

• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, project managers, technicians, and drivers
• Follow direction and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines
• Assist other warehouse team members as needed
• Help prioritize tasks based on upcoming event schedules and production deadlines
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, production, event, or AV experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of professional AV equipment is a plus
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to safely handle and transport production equipment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in live event production or an AV rental environment
• Familiarity with audio, video, lighting, rigging, or staging equipment
• Familiarity with Current RMS or similar inventory software
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
• OSHA safety knowledge or training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods
• Ability to load and unload trucks and transport production equipment
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment as required
• Ability to work in varying warehouse and event-site conditions
