Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and passionate Ubiquiti UniFi Network & ICT Systems Technician who is, in our eyes, a true “Unifi Networking wizard.” If you live and breathe Ubiquiti technology—with deep hands-on experience across the entire UI product line—and can lead complete network and ICT system overhauls, we want to talk to you. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for on-premise network and wireless equipment installations while integrating advanced Protect and Access systems into a single, cohesive solution. You’ll direct teams on projects that range from 40 to 200 UI devices and collaborate with low-voltage wiring technicians to deliver flawless deployments in healthcare, hospitality, corporate, and religious settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site technical lead for complex ICT system overhauls and new installations at newly constructed facilities, typically lasting up to 10 days per project.
- Spearhead the deployment and installation of 40–200 Ubiquiti devices per project, ensuring that every installation meets the highest standards of performance and integration.
- Act as the “Unifi Networking wizard” by troubleshooting intricate network issues and applying innovative solutions that optimize network efficiency and reliability.
System Integration & Network Architecture:
- Oversee and implement full-scale network integration for UniFi Network, Access, Protect, and Connect product lines.
- Integrate additional ICT systems such as nurse call/wander management, distributed IP audio, dvLED video walls, digital signage, voice and video conferencing, IP-based AV distribution, and lighting systems seamlessly into the UniFi PoE network.
- Lead technical reviews, site assessments, and planning sessions to ensure that system designs are robust and future-proof.
Client Engagement & Consultation:
- Work directly with multi-site healthcare, hospitality, corporate, and religious organization customers to assess their unique requirements and tailor comprehensive network solutions.
- Provide expert consultation and strategic guidance during initial project scoping, ensuring clients fully understand the capabilities and advantages of the new UniFi Everything platform.
- Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Collaborate with low-voltage wiring technicians (2–4 per project) and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth physical installations and seamless integration.
- Mentor junior network engineers and technicians, sharing best practices, advanced troubleshooting techniques, and your unmatched passion for Ubiquiti systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and deploying Ubiquiti UniFi products, with proven expertise across the entire UniFi product line.
- Demonstrable history of leading end-to-end network and ICT system deployments in demanding environments.
Technical Proficiency:
- Deep networking knowledge including LAN/WAN design, PoE systems, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Ubiquiti UniFi Network, Access, Protect, and Connect systems.
- Ability to integrate diverse systems—from nurse call and wander management to digital signage and IP-based AV distribution—into a single, unified network.
- Familiarity with advanced network security protocols, quality of service (QoS), and best practices for network architecture.
Certifications & Education:
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., Ubiquiti certifications, CCNA/CCNP, or similar networking credentials).
