Building efficiently in a weather protected environment, with on-time delivery, and cost control, is the essence of modular construction and has made systems-built housing one of the fastest growing segments in the housing industry.
We are seeking a full-time detail-oriented draftsperson who is passionate, adaptable, and motivated to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD and knowledge of wood-frame construction standards. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and plant production staff to ensure every home meets design intent, building codes, and manufacturing tolerances.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed architectural and structural drawings (floor plans, elevations, cross-sections) through mechanical and final drawings.
Convert architect/engineer concepts and sketches into fully dimensioned, code-compliant construction documents.
Responsible for interpreting sales orders to draft plans according to supplied specifications.
Proficient in visualizing a project through the production process.
Communicate and collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain, track, and plan tasks according to the production schedule to meet weekly goals.
Troubleshoot any foreseen complications ahead of production.
Minimum Requirements:
Highly proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting ; experience with MS Office.
2 or 4 year degree, OR equivalent experience required.
Solid understanding of drafting techniques and construction terminology.
Technical detailing knowledge of construction methods and construction documents.
Experience in wood-frame construction and related code requirements preferred.
US work authorization.
