Journeyman Sheet Metal Installer

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience installing HVAC ductwork and commercial architectural sheet metal and takes pride in quality workmanship, job-site safety, and completing projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commercial sheet metal installer.
• Strong experience with HVAC ductwork installation and commercial architectural sheet metal.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with common sheet metal hand and power tools.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install sheet metal components.
• Knowledge of commercial construction practices and job-site safety.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a crew.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and in varying job-site conditions.
• Physical ability to lift materials, work overhead, and perform demanding construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC ductwork, fittings, dampers, grilles, and related components.
• Install commercial architectural sheet metal systems according to project plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation plans.
• Measure, lay out, fit, and secure sheet metal and ductwork accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Work with other trades and project personnel to coordinate installations.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, appearance, and quality.
• Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and job-site procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Identify and communicate installation issues or material needs to supervisors.
• Complete work according to project schedules and quality standards.
