Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Oshkosh Door Company manufactures custom architectural wood doors used in buildings around the world. Our work supports safety, performance, and design in schools, hospitals, offices, hotels, and other commercial spaces. We are an approximately 140-person company known for quick delivery, high-quality craftsmanship, and people who take pride in building something that matters.

Second shift hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am and overtime as needed on Friday and Saturday.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Repair or replace equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools
• Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools. 
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. 
• Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications. 
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry function
• Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair systems ranging from 12 VDC to 480 VAC/600 amps
• Install and repair controls circuit, read blueprints/schematics and bend and run conduit
• Familiarity with ladder logic and programmable logic controllers (PLC) and ability to troubleshoot
• Works with variable speed drives
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems or machines, determines cause of the breakdown and takes appropriate corrective action to make repairs
• Completes work in accordance to national and local codes.  Learns and keeps current with latest revision of NEC and NFPA
• Assures work is completed correctly, and finds and fixes safety related items and sets an example for others in safety

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

·       An associate degree from a two-year college or technical school in a maintenance discipline and Journeyman or equivalent level of knowledge

·       Three years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment

·       The desire to work on second shift

·       Welding/fabrication experience is a plus

·       Problem solving ability

·       Safety awareness
