Injection Molding Process Technician

A growing manufacturing company in Mundelein, IL is seeking experienced Injection Molding Process Technicians to join their 3rd shift team. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity offering competitive pay based on experience.

Requirements of the Injection Molding Process Technician

• Previous experience in a plastics or injection molding manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with injection molding processes, equipment, and production machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation
• Basic knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection tools
• Ability to understand basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
• Experience troubleshooting and working with production equipment, molding machines, robots, and automation
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and hi-lifts
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

Responsibilities of the Injection Molding Process Technician

• Assist with the installation, setup, relocation, and modification of injection molding machines, production equipment, automation, robots, and related systems
• Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, modify, and reassemble complex production equipment
• Support injection molding operations by addressing equipment and process-related issues to minimize downtime
• Inspect and test repaired equipment to verify proper operation, functionality, and safety before returning equipment to production
• Assist with machine modifications, fabrication, welding, pipefitting, and other mechanical projects as needed
• Work with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems when troubleshooting and repairing equipment
• Collaborate with production and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment problems and keep production running efficiently

3rd shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
