Low Voltage Technician / Electrician
PPSI, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Low Voltage Technicians/Electricians. We install and service network-based security camera systems, access control systems, fire and burglar alarm systems, network cabling, audio/video systems, and related low-voltage technologies.
Our work includes new construction, renovations, and service projects for multi-family communities, commercial buildings, and high-end residential properties throughout North Carolina.
Job Responsibilities
As a Low Voltage Technician, you will:
The work is similar to commercial electrical work and requires many of the same skills. You should be comfortable working on ladders, in attics and crawl spaces, and outdoors in various weather conditions. The position also involves occasional trenching and underground conduit installation using trenchers, vibrating plows, mini excavators, and hand tools.
Requirements
North Carolina requires all installers to be registered with the NC Alarm Systems Licensing Board. PPSI will assist qualified applicants through the registration process.

In addition, PPSI closes for the week of Christmas, providing employees with approximately eight paid days off during the week after Christmas and a Christmas bonus check of 40 hours at your standard pay rate.

Starting Pay
Helper / Entry-Level Technician: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Low Voltage Technician / Electrician: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
Master Low Voltage Technician / Electrician: $26.00–$30.00 per hour
Higher wages are available for experienced technicians based on knowledge, productivity, quality of workmanship, and leadership ability.
