Role: Sheet Metal BIM Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a Sheet Metal BIM Coordinator to support the design, drafting, and coordination of mechanical construction projects. This role focuses on developing and maintaining accurate BIM models and shop drawings while collaborating with project teams to ensure quality, constructability, and coordination across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
· Create and update 2D and 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
· Prepare construction layouts, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
· Revise drawings based on feedback from BIM Trade Leads, Project Coordinators, and BIM Coordinators.
· Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and structural models to identify and resolve clashes.
· Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and company drafting standards.
· Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and ongoing technical training.
· Develop an understanding of mechanical construction processes, prefabrication, and field installation practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience (or equivalent industry experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams and supervising technical staff.
Strong experience managing land development projects from planning through construction.
Comprehensive knowledge of California permitting processes, engineering standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
