A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides essential support in long-term care facilities, working closely under the supervision of Registered Nurses to ensure quality patient care. This role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient safety, all while fostering a compassionate and collaborative care environment.
13 Week Contract with the option to extend
Day Shifts - 6:30a - 3p; Every other weekend and holidays
40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support with daily activities
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately
- Assist with hygiene and personal care needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Implement infection control protocols
- Support patient mobility and prevent falls
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license
- Proficiency in patient care and vital signs monitoring
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Effective time management
