Structural engineering firm has an immediate opening for a 2D AutoCAD draftsperson. This is a full-time position based in Long Island City, Queens. Drafter will work closely with engineers and others in the office, with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and experience in demolition engineering and structural design. We do not work with 3D CAD software (ANYSY, SOULWORKS, etc.)

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) and you must be able to come to work at our office in LIC. Proper work authorization to work in the U.S is required. Please do not apply if you are not within commuting distance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create detailed, accurate construction plans for structural engineering projects for buildings (commercial and residential)
• Work alongside engineers to make corrections to the drawings

Requirements:

• 2+ years in 2D AutoCAD experience
• Must have working experience in engineering/architectural drafting
• Must be able to generate plans and sections in 2D
• Excellent communication skills are a must
