What You Will Do
As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and recommend solutions for residential heating and cooling systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnose residential HVAC system problems accurately
- Perform repairs on air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, and related equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance and system inspections
- Explain system conditions and repair options clearly to homeowners
- Provide customers with honest, professional recommendations
- Identify opportunities for system improvements, indoor air quality products, maintenance agreements, and equipment replacement
- Document findings, photographs, recommendations, and completed work
- Maintain an organized and professional service vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, managers, comfort advisors, and customers
- Follow company procedures and applicable safety requirements
- Deliver a professional customer experience from arrival through job completion
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a technician who is self-motivated, dependable, professional, and comfortable working directly with homeowners.
Qualified candidates should have:
- At least two years of residential HVAC service experience
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with residential split systems, heat pumps, furnaces, and air-conditioning equipment
- Ability to perform repairs independently
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to explain technical problems in language customers can understand
- A professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong work ethic and personal accountability
- Motivation to improve performance and increase earnings
- Ability to complete accurate job documentation
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of HVAC service work
