Position Summary
Seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter II to join our team in supporting high-production manufacturing for custom doors and windows. The AutoCAD Drafter II is responsible for creating and altering technical drawings, elevation layouts, and complete submittal packages for clients and manufacturing teams. This role collaborates closely with project coordinators, design professionals, and production teams to ensure accurate drawings, adherence to safety standards, and timely project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and alter detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD across all project phases.
- Prepare complete submittal packages, including supporting product information, elevation drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project coordinators, design teams, and manufacturing personnel.
- Organize, maintain, and update the CAD drawing library for ongoing and future projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and architectural plans to ensure accurate design execution.
- Perform precise mathematical, algebraic, and geometric calculations for design specifications.
- Maintain clear communication via email, phone, and internal platforms regarding drawing status and updates.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD software (AutoCAD 2018 or newer).
- 2+ years of construction experience required.
- Background in architectural and/or mechanical drafting required.
- Experience drafting doors and windows is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Excel.
- Strong mathematical capabilities (algebra and geometry).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
