Provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients. Performs malnutrition assessments, nutrition-focused physical exams, and diet education. Provides nutrition support recommendations. Consults with physicians and allied health professionals regarding patients' nutritional statuses. Formulates nutrition assessment, evaluation, and follow-up plans. Participates in clinical rounds and department meetings. Consults in/outpatients on diet rationale for self-management. Must be flexible to cross-cover and train in all areas including Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics. Provides staff relief and cross-coverage. Reviews annual literature pertinent to area(s) of responsibility and presents to peers. Performs formal professional presentations. Attends pertinent meetings to enhance clinical practice. Maintains current CDR credentials and DC Licensure. Holds current membership to professional organization. Participates in licensing surveys. Assumes other appropriate duties.
