This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated professional to serve onsite, guiding learners with a range of disabilities throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience supporting students with various disabilities at the middle school level
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to a diverse caseload of middle school students
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Monitor student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and maintain accurate documentation
- Work closely with general education teachers to coordinate accommodations and modifications
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-related activities
