Perform echocardiography tests/procedures according to American Society of Echocardiography standards. Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, transferring them to the ultrasound table, applying gel, and positioning them properly. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the heart. Provide a preliminary summary of technical findings to the interpreting physician. Understand ultrasound machine operation and utilize new sonographic technologies. Perform routine cardiac ultrasound procedures. Interact professionally with healthcare professionals. Assist with IAC accreditation submission/maintenance. Supervise or train students and cardiac sonographers as needed. Adhere to safety and infection control policies.
