**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The **Quality Engineer** will be part of a collaborative team, in our Modular Group. You will have the challenge of working on large complex projects for our dynamic manufacturing-construction organization located in Edgerton Wisconsin. Cupertino Electric's Modular Data Center Division, designs, engineers, builds and delivers solutions to a wide variety of clients. Our design, execution and products are State of the Art. This opportunity is limited only by the reach of the candidate.
This individual will work closely with manufacturing on first piece, in-process, and final inspection, while monitoring in-house processes for conformance of product. One of the primary responsibilities is to ensure our systems meet ISO9000 compliance and customer needs. They will function as an individual contributor and report to the Operations Manager.
+ Be a part of the supplier selection team
+ Establish performance metrics and measure cost of quality.
+ Maintain appropriate quality database and report on a monthly basis the actual quality and delivery performance.
+ Conduct internal audits and team reviews to drive improvements for quality, cost, service, and delivery.
+ Develop reports and metrics to measure internal performance and hold formal Quarterly Business Reviews to drive improvements.
+ Create/Maintain a formal corrective action process based on Lean and Six Sigma concepts to resolve quality and functional issues.
+ Responsible for the control and disposition of non-conforming materials.
+ Develop customer relationships to facilitate new designs and engineering changes, including DFMreviews
+ With manufacturing, develop inspection procedures and data collection to ensure floor quality.
+ Lead problem solving teams using formal processes to investigate and determine root cause to production quality problems as needed.
+ Be the internal "voice of the customer" to avoid disruptions in the manufacturing process.
+ Represent CEI in discussions with customers regarding quality initiatives and performance.
+ Ability to multi task and change priorities quickly.
+ Support the team with proactive communications.
+ Willingness to assist team in achieving its goal.
+ Develop and maintain Control plans and PFMEAs as required by customers
+ Work with subcontractors to ensure their adherence to contractual obligations
**Other Functions**
+ Maintain Monthly Performance tracking
+ Track CARS and drive to Closure
+ Audit Internal Systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9000/2015
+ Attend Customer meetings and represent quality
**ABOUT YOU**
+ Ability to develop Process flows, control plans and PFMEAs
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
+ Abiity to read and interpret specifications and drawings
+ Knowledge of SixSigma methodologies and use
