Pay: $21-$24.50 hourly based on skillset
Hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
Training shift Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Training typically takes a few months before moving to standard shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Build a variety of tools, engineering changes, molds, templates, fixtures and jigs.
+ Set-up, adjusts and operates all types of machine shop equipment. Select and lay out materials.
+ Draw sketches and calculate dimensions as required.
+ Repair or modify existing tools.
+ Calculate shrink rate dimensions for different plastics.
+ Team player with the ability to work on miniature, close-tolerance parts and fixtures with minimum supervision.
+ Train mold technicians to increase their knowledge and skills in the areas of troubleshooting and mold repair techniques.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ High school or equivalent preferred.
+ Demonstrate acceptable layout Tig welding skills and quality.
+ Able to communicate effectively over the phone and with small groups of people.
+ Demonstrate basic computer skills.
+ Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic mathematical skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 1+ yrs. tool & die manufacturing experience
+ Related vocational certificate or associates degree
+ CNC programming with milling and EDM machine experience
+ Able to read blue prints and reverse design parts and pieces from molds and equipment
