Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies. Perform Medical Assistant duties. Greet patients, communicate wait times, provide direction, and resolve patient problems. Execute follow-up calls. Assist front desk personnel with check-in/out. Obtain and document patient vital signs, weight, history, medications, and allergies. Assist with patient transfers and procedures. Follow documentation procedures. Perform timely radiology procedures and quality control. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and proper radiation protection. Ensure equipment is in proper working order. Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills. Maintain current licensure and certification.
