A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) for a full-time contract engagement for the 2026–2027 academic year. This position, based near Scappoose, OR, is ideal for professionals committed to supporting students’ communication and educational development in a collaborative school setting.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work primarily on-site (up to four days per week), with the flexibility of one administrative day off-site. You will provide assessment, therapy, and IEP management services across one to two local school locations. Direct oversight of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is central to this assignment, making supervisory experience a significant asset.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), required
- Valid Oregon State SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before the start date)
- SLP experience in a school, pediatric, or healthcare environment preferred
- Background check and fingerprint clearance required before starting
- Must be available to work on-site at least four days weekly
- Previous supervision of SLPAs is favored
- Teletherapy and pediatric background a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations, assessments, and ongoing IEP documentation
- Deliver direct therapy to students in assigned school buildings
- Supervise, train, and mentor an on-site SLPA
- Collaborate with teachers, multidisciplinary teams, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Utilize one day each week to complete necessary administrative and indirect service tasks
