Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care. Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care. Collaborate with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues. Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise. Perform testing to evaluate resident status and provide necessary care. Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations. Ensure resident health, comfort, and safety. Administer medications or treatments as ordered. Document resident interactions and outcomes. Counsel residents and families on treatment plans. Perform other related duties as assigned.
