Performs Nuclear Medicine exams in a timely manner, documents required information, and communicates pertinent information to physicians and staff. Coordinates and assists with patient care. Evaluates patient condition to adequately perform radiology exams. Explains procedures to patients. Provides comprehensive direct patient care and assures a safe environment. Consults with other staff as necessary. Assures necessary equipment and supplies are available and safely utilized. Performs Point of Care procedures and quality control. Associate Degree. Certified as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board (TMB). Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or Certified in nuclear medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N). Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
