Uses independent judgment in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing staff activities related to resident care plans. Evaluates care provided and keeps care plans current. Leads the RAI process. Assists in assessment and evaluation of potential admissions. Completes resident assessments upon admission, quarterly, and annually. Collaborates with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues. Functions as a Registered Nurse (RN) utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for coordination of care, resident assessment, and resident education. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks. Functions within scopes and standards of nursing practice.
