Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care; Collaborates with resident, family, and inter-disciplinary colleagues; Plans, implements, and evaluates care; Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise; Utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards; Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment; Responsible for coordination of care, resident assessment, and resident education; May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks; Provides assistance and support to delegates; Functions within scopes and standards of nursing practice.
