We are seeking a Special Procedures Tech Lead on a full-time basis. As our Special Procedures Technologist, you will operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization (CC), as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status). You will prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures. You will perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routines accurately and in a timely manner. You will assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure. You will obtain high quality radiographic images; reviews quality of radiographs to insure quality standards have been met. You will obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure. You will maintain effective communication with patient; provides explanation of procedures within scope of practice. You will be responsible for rotating call will be assigned.
