Serves in the capacity of the Cardiovascular Technician; assisting in patient care through procedures. Directly involved in assisting with Cath Lab, EP, and Vascular procedures and the development of protocols. Cross trains cath lab staff to other procedural areas to achieve a level of comfort in working with the new procedures and meet developed competencies that are developed. Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements. Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures. Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment. Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care. Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient.
