Nurse
Deliver professional nursing care to all patients in NICU. Perform assessment and acuity assignment. Follow standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care. Supervise other nursing personnel and/or students. Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse. Perform all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient. Operate and set up devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration, aerosol generators, and disposable respiratory care products. Provide emergency care, including artificial ventilation, external cardiac massage, and assist staff with cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Collect and analyze arterial blood gases.
