About the Role
InSync Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Accreditation & Licensure Consultant to support a leading healthcare organization in maintaining continuous regulatory readiness and compliance. This role is responsible for evaluating accreditation and licensing standards, conducting regulatory assessments, supporting survey preparedness, and partnering with clinical and operational leaders to strengthen quality and compliance initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned healthcare compliance professional with extensive experience in accreditation, regulatory affairs, and performance improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support ongoing readiness for state, federal, and accreditation inspections and surveys.
- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements from CMS, CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC), and IMQ.
- Conduct comprehensive and focused compliance assessments across clinical and operational departments.
- Identify compliance gaps and develop corrective action plans and recommendations.
- Create and maintain standardized policies, procedures, survey readiness tools, and educational resources.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and regulatory documentation.
- Provide education and guidance to leadership and staff regarding accreditation and licensing requirements.
- Analyze survey findings, trends, and organizational risks to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison during regulatory surveys and inspections.
- Support performance improvement projects and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Minimum 8 years of recent experience in healthcare accreditation, licensing, regulatory compliance, or quality management.
- Strong knowledge of CMS, CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC), and IMQ accreditation and licensing standards.
- Experience with healthcare operations, clinical care coordination, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience conducting regulatory assessments and supporting continuous survey readiness.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and develop corrective action plans.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and staff education.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while handling sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting state, federal, or accreditation surveys and inspections.
- Experience developing policies, procedures, survey readiness tools, and educational materials.
- Experience serving as a liaison with regulatory agencies and survey teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance software, databases, and reporting tools.
- Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
