Deliver initial and episodic care to patients for work-related injuries and/or illnesses and assist with getting them back to work as quickly and safely as possible. Perform physicals, screenings, etc, related to the patient's job functions. May act as a consultant to identify, assess, and prevent workplace health hazards. Serve as a certified Medical Review Officer for oversight of drug and alcohol programs, including for our DOT clients (if not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within three months of start date). Care will be delivered while following standards and protocols set by the Medical Director. Function as an integral member of the clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, while maintaining patient flow and working with administrative staff. Provide oversight to our Advanced Practice Practitioners, including co-signing notes, assisting them with urgent or complex clinical questions or issues, and working closely with them to ensure patients are receiving timely, evidence-based care. Be up-to-date on federal and state regulations for workforce health and safety, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT), to provide the best treatment plans and perform regulatory examinations.
