**Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):**
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher).Three (3) years of full time experience in marketing/promotions, public relations and or communications. Experience in higher education or housing managing outreach, events or communications. Experience with professional writing and/or editorial. Experience with developing diverse digital print, print and/or social media assets. Supervisory experience. Occasionally moves materials, equipment, or cameras weighing up to 50 pounds across campus.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience in end-to-end multimedia production, including scripting, storyboarding, editing, and publishing high-quality video content. Experience overseeing marketing campaigns and asset portfolios across diverse digital and print platforms. Experience managing and utilizing multiple technology platforms for housing operations, communication, or content management. Experience developing and implementing comprehensive standards for branded promotional items and external recruitment materials. Experience with digital accessibility (ADA compliance) and inclusive communication practices for all digital and print materials.
**Brief Description of Duties:**
The Marketing and Communication Manager for Campus Residences serves as the lead strategist, project manager, and department-wide consultant for all communications and marketing efforts within Campus Residences. This role is responsible for driving cohesive branding, marketing standards, and communications best practices across platforms, teams, and initiatives. The position supervises the day-to-day of professional and student staff, manages key projects and communication systems, and acts as the primary liaison to the Communications, Research, Assessment, Fundraising, and Technology (CRAFT) team for Student Affairs. At times, the incumbent will need to represent the department at various meetings, forums, etc. for both internal and external stakeholders. The Marketing and Communication Manager is expected to remain abreast of industry standards and best practices. Creativity, collaboration, and superior communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) are essential for this role.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Housing Administration and Marketing Communication with a functional reporting relationship to the Student Affairs Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, this role plays a vital part in strengthening the department's reputation, engagement, and operational excellence.
**Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership**
+ Establish vision, goals, and strategic priorities for Campus Residences in collaboration with Campus Residences and CRAFT leadership.
+ Lead all marketing, branding, and promotional strategy for Campus Residences, ensuring consistent visual identity and tone across media and platforms.
+ Develop and implement standards for branded materials and promotional items.
+ Lead marketing and communication components related to on-campus housing for Admitted Seawolves Day, campus visit days, residence hall tours with Admissions, orientation sessions, and open house summer tours.
+ Oversee external branding and marketing materials related to conference group recruitment, quote packages, and major external events.
+ Oversee development, approval, and deployment schedule for all StarRez communication templates.
+ Support Campus Residences leadership in responding to med
