Working in a supportive school environment in South San Francisco, you’ll collaborate with dedicated professionals to deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately 27 students categorized as mild/moderate SPED.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required)
• Previous experience teaching middle school students, ideally in special education
• Strong skills managing SAI (Specialized Academic Instruction) and RSP (Resource Specialist Program) settings
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

• Teach four sections of SAI classes, focusing on 6th-grade writing and English Language Arts
• Provide instruction for one section of RSP, supporting students in accessing the general curriculum
• Develop and adapt teaching materials to address students’ unique needs and learning styles
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and professional development
