**Position Summary:**
The Production Supervisor leads and oversees daily operations across one or multiple production areas such as fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and paint. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while ensuring on‑time performance and supporting continuous improvement. The Supervisor manages staffing, develops employees, resolves production and equipment issues, and ensures departmental readiness to meet changing customer and production demands. This position serves as a key connection between production teams and management, providing leadership, accountability, and operational direction for sustained excellence.
**Key Responsibilities** **:**
**Leadership & Team Management**
+ Supervise and coordinate daily activities of employees across assigned production areas.
+ Provide coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and administer evaluations.
+ Recommend and support personnel actions including hiring, promotions, transfers, corrective measures, and terminations following proper procedures.
+ Conduct departmental meetings and maintainstrong communication throughout the team.
+ Develop, maintain, and routinely update the crosstrainingskills matrix to ensure workforce flexibility and succession planning.‑training
**Production Execution & Throughput**
+ Prioritize work to maintainon‑time delivery; develop recovery plans in response to constraints such as manpower, material, or equipment disruptions.
+ Analyze work orders to determine materials, operations, and sequence.
+ Monitor work order flow, backlog issues, and bottlenecks, coordinating with planning and other departments as needed.
+ Inspect work for accuracy, ensure compliance with specifications, and drive corrective actions for defects.
**Safety, Quality & Compliance**
+ Enforce all safety and housekeeping rules, drive 6S efforts and maintain a hazardfree work environment.‑free work
+ Lead adherence to company welding, machining, assembly, and quality standards specific to thedepartment.
+ Ensure consistent execution of company safety programs, audits, and followupactions.‑up actions.
**Metrics & Continuous Improvement**
+ Track and communicate performance metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity).
+ Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment, processes, and working conditions.
+ Collaborate with management on standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
**Resource & Equipment Management**
+ Plan staffing levels, schedule manpower, and communicate resource needs.
+ Maintain accurate time and production records.
+ Assist employees in diagnosing equipment problems and coordinatemaintenance and engineering resolutions.
+ Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of machinery, tools, and equipment.

+ Communicate supply issues and escalate internal/external material concerns.
+ Work closely with operations management, planning, engineering, and quality to align priorities and resolve issues.

**Knowledge,** **Skills** **and Abilities (KSA's):**
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing production processes and equipment use.
+ Ability to diagnose and resolve complex production, equipment, and workflow issues.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, operator manuals, and work instructions.
+ Cross-functional communication skills (verbal and written) across all organizational levels.
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, influence, and develop employees.
+ Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
+ Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Ability to follow through independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
**Education and Experience:**
+ Combination of relevant education and manufacturing experience.
+ 5-10 years of progressive manufacturing experience with leadership responsibilities.
