We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Enclosure Electronics team. This role involves the development of electronic controls hardware for our large-scale battery systems, which include a variety of sensors, actuators, and custom electronics. You will encounter multidisciplinary technical challenges spanning gas sensing, electrochemistry, and high-power electronics. • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, controls, and manufacturing engineers to develop effective and reliable electrical systems.
• Engage in PCB design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, board validation, and manufacturing support.
• Prototype and validate new electrical circuits and systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis down to the component level.
• Select, evaluate, and define interfaces for sensors.
• Clearly document design decisions, test results, and troubleshooting procedures.

• 5+ years of professional experience or equivalent education in electrical engineering.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Background in bringing products from concept to production stages.
• Understanding of electrical design fundamentals.
• Experience with PCB CAD tools such as Altium or similar.
• Familiarity with electrical lab tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Some programming experience in languages such as Python, C/C++, or Matlab.
• Must be able to obtain US work authorization.

• Experience in bringing products from concept to production stages.

This position requires onsite work in Berkeley, CA. The role is initially a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion. The work environment is collaborative, with opportunities to engage with various teams and disciplines.

This is a Contract position based out of Berkeley, CA.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $110.00/hr.
