Job Title: Cleanroom Production Operator
Job Description
The Cleanroom Production Operator supports manufacturing operations by performing a variety of cleanroom production, inspection, and packaging tasks in a highly controlled environment. This role involves operating specialized cleaning and testing equipment, handling delicate components, and maintaining strict cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail oriented, and comfortable working with repetitive processes while meeting production, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform general production and cleanroom labor, including loading and unloading various types of cleaning equipment, miscellaneous assembly, inspection, alcohol wiping, swabbing, nitrogen drying of parts, and other related tasks.
- Operate air and electric drivers, LPC testing equipment, bag sealers, and leak check equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate ultra-sonic wash equipment to clean parts and components to required specifications.
- Conduct leak, function, and flow testing on parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Bag, package, and label parts and products accurately, following cleanroom and packaging requirements.
- Inspect parts and components for defects, damage, or deviations, and identify issues that could potentially interrupt productivity.
- Perform deburring and polishing of metal, plastic, and other parts as required to meet finish and quality standards.
- Work with epoxy and other materials safely and accurately as part of the production process.
- Maintain accurate logs and other necessary documentation, including production records, inspection results, and equipment usage.
- Follow and uphold 5S standards by maintaining clean, organized, and efficient work areas.
- Work as a team member to support others in achieving departmental quality goals and on-time delivery targets.
- Train and work in other production areas as needed, based on the production schedule and workflow demands.
- Work in the cleanroom, clean line, or assembly areas for the entire shift or as workflow dictates.
- Handle fragile products with care and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Adhere to all safety and cleanroom requirements, including proper use of PPE such as coveralls, boots, hairnets/headcovers, face shields, and gloves.
- Follow directions under direct supervision and escalate issues or deviations promptly to maintain productivity and quality.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment is a plus.
- Ability to operate air and electric drivers, LPC testing equipment, bag sealers, leak check equipment, and ultra-sonic wash equipment.
- Ability to perform a defined sequence of operations consistently while maintaining required levels of quality and quantity.
- Mechanically inclined with strong manual dexterity and good visual acuity.
- Ability to inspect parts and identify deviations that could interrupt productivity.
- Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to handle fragile products and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours during a shift.
- Comfort working with direct supervision and following established procedures.
- Capability to work with appropriate safety and PPE requirements, including coveralls, hairnet/headcover, face shield, and gloves.

- Experience with inspection of parts in a production or cleanroom environment.
- Experience with packaging, packing, and general production tasks.
- Basic computer data entry skills for maintaining logs and production records.
- Experience or familiarity with semiconductor or related manufacturing environments.
- Experience with deburring and polishing metal, plastic, or other parts.
- Experience performing leak checks and working with epoxy in a production setting.
- Knowledge and practice of 5S standards and lean production principles.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple production activities efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanroom and safety standards.
