**Description** The Senior Technician works on customer sites in a variety of environments including new construction, remodels, and operating facilities. A Senior Technician is also responsible for complying with Encore standards for Safety, Culture and Customer Service. **Compensation for this Position:** $35.00 - $50.00 per hour, plus additional job site incentive **General Responsibilities** + Works with a commitment to safety + Upholds the core values of Encore Electric + Acts as a professional and uses basic work ethics. + Comes to work on time every day with appropriate attire and tools. + Keeps work area clean. + Installs quality work in a neat and workmanship like manner. + Treats tools with respect + Works and climbs on ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms. + Identifies technology parts and components. + Performs strenuous physical work i.e., digging, kneeling, shoveling, lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing. + Keeps up with changing technology. + Wears tools at all required times + Works in all weather conditions **Specific Responsibilities:** + Must be capable of conducting and or participating in morning huddles, safety talks, trade walks, meetings, etc. + Ability to communicate and work alongside design teams and engineers for successful execution of projects + Work independently or as part of a team, able and willing to take direction and execute those directives effectively and efficiently + Demonstrate a basic understanding of construction administration processes + Must thoroughly understand the project schedule, scope of work, bill of materials, jobsite budget, project specifications, and specific jobsite requirements + Performs regular QA/QC checks to ensure product meets specifications and standards. + Communicate with Owner, General Contractor, Supervisor and other trades frequently regarding the progress and coordination of the project to ensure the most efficient and satisfactory installation possible + Communicate with the Project Manager any changes or impacts to the project immediately + Along with the Project Manager, develop proactive and trusted relationships with Owner, Client, General Contractor, and other trade partners in relation to installation and installation schedule + Lead all onsite installation, testing and commissioning + Frequently analyze project requirements as needed, may include manpower, materials, safety, equipment, and special project needs + Responsible for protection and preservation of all stored equipment/tools/material + Participate in required jobsite Safety Meeting and Huddles + Understand and follow safety guidelines, if working with others, ensure they are also working in a safe manner + Assist Manager of Safety and Health in performing job hazard analysis + Ensure project closeouts are performed effectively and on time + Participates in training and mentoring of junior staff + Demonstrate consistency in jobsite requirements, leading by example + Start and Stop Times + Break Times + PPE Requirements + Other jobsite requirements or rules + Ability to complete specific training, licensing and certifications as needed/directed + Competence to complete job on or before deadline as well as under bid/budget **Specific Responsibilities for BAS Senior Tech** + Knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, towers, chillers, metering system steam, electric, CO, air flows, VAV systems, etc. + Proficient with voltage meters and other testing equipment + Clear understanding of wiring diagrams/schematics + Installation of controllers, communications wiring, conduit and field devices to industry codes and standard + Attend and participate in project specific meetings as needed and effectively communicate pertinent information to PM + Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components according to service agreement contracts + Strong knowledge of troubleshooting cable plant and commercial HVAC systems **Other duties may be assigned.** **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:** Knowledge of: + Constructability and the construction process + MS Office Software and other misc. computer programs + Blueprint drawings and how it applies to the project. + Reading blueprint drawings + Wiring diagrams + Schematics + Low voltage systems + Basic network principles + Basic technology principles and standards Skill in: + Effective Listening + Speaking intelligently + Acting as a self-starter + Spatial orientation + Visualizing the constructability of an estimate + Identifying scope gaps in construction documents + Positive Customer Interactions + Estimating the necessary resources needed to complete required tasks. + Adapting to new and changing requirements, environments, and/or information + Assist and manage people and processes. + Using construction software + Effective written and oral communication sufficient to be able to elicit and communicate information and achieve understandi
