Hiring Salary Range : $ 108,000.00 - 118,000.00
This range represents the hiring range. Salaries are determined individually depending on skills and experience. You will also be eligible to an annual bonus, employee share investment program (ESIP), Pension, Benefits, Railroad Retirement Benefits (RRB) and other perks.

**Job Summary**
The Track Supervisoris responsible forleadingthe operations of an assigned territory that involves track inspection and repairs as well as replacing rails, ties,switchesand ballasts.
**Main Responsibilities**
+ Leadengineering operations as outlined in CN's operating plan
+ Supervise andcontrolactivities of track gangs, track inspectors, and hi-rail operations
+ Manage engineering operations which includesensuringcompliance with safe work procedures, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) guidelines, and CN policies and regulations
+ Lead people with clear direction and goals while providing coaching and guidance to employees through regular performance monitoring
+ Apply collective agreement and company policies by conducting investigations, recommending corrective actions, and responding to grievances
+ Overseebudgets and workforce productivity within CN policies and the Five Guiding Principles
+ Ensure clear communication of track condition and daily production information to senior managementin order toadjust
+ Participate in activities related to derailments and disruptions in service, while working with Transportation and Mechanical toestablishcause and future prevention
+ Perform safety audits for the unionized workforce and conduct safety engagements
+ Plan,scheduleand perform track repairs and maintenance
+ Respond to emergencies
Working Conditions
The role will be partially performed in an office environment as well as outdoors invarious typesof weather and environmental conditions with irregular hours, including nights,weekendsand holidays. The position may berelocatedif necessary. The role requiresregulartravel(up to 50%)at times without advance notice.Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure,and stress. The position requires responding to unexpectedandemergency situations,and being able tolift upto70 lbs.
TheTrack Supervisor will go through training of United States Operating Rules (USOR) in Homewood, IL. Training relatedto terminal operations will becarried outon the job andfacilitatedby current Track Supervisors, Senior Managers of Engineering and Assistant Regional Chiefs.

Experience
**Track**
+ Minimum 3 years of Track experience
+ Safetycomplianceexperience
+ Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving
+ Relevant work experience in similar working conditions or in a regulatory or safety environment*
+ Budgetmanagementexperience*
+ Labor Relations experience (i.e.interpretation of collective agreements, response to grievances, negotiations with union representatives, discipline, etc.) *
+ Experience supervising a unionized workforce*

Education/Certification/Designation
+ High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
+ Post-SecondaryDiploma*
+ Validdriver'slicense
+ Meets all medical fitness for duty requirements
+ Ability to obtain USOR Qualification
+ Training or certification in Railroad Operating Signals*
