Job Summary
The Nursery Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing plant material to support sales and nursery operations. This role develops and maintains strong vendor relationships, negotiates pricing, and ensures accurate and timely purchasing processes. By creating purchase orders, resolving shipment issues, and coordinating logistics, the Nursery Buyer helps maintain inventory accuracy, supports special projects, and contributes to the company’s ability to provide high-quality plant material to customers.
In short, the Nursery Buyer focuses on identifying, negotiating, and securing plant material while managing purchasing transactions and vendor coordination.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is an in-office position, with no work-from-home option except for short-term exceptions approved by upper management.
The position requires remaining in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods. Extensive typing and use of 10-key data entry are required. Use of hands and fingers for typing, grasping, and handling materials is necessary.
The employee will frequently move between the office and nursery yard environments and may experience outdoor weather conditions, uneven ground surfaces, dust, plant material, moisture, and seasonal allergens.
