Standard schedule of at least 5 days (10 shifts) a week and can range anywhere between 40 - 45 hours a week.
May be required to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Summary (description):
The Server Shift Lead is responsible for consistently delivering strong service results. This position ensures the restaurant is properly staffed, employees are on task, and that the restaurant is well organized, stocked, and clean. This position is also responsible for the business operating smoothly during the assigned shift. In this role, the Shift Lead will partner with other members of management to keep the work environment safe and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
Essential Functions include but may not be limited to:
- Leads staff and directs all daily operations of the restaurant including supervising and training employees
- Opening and closing the store, ensuring all food preparation is complete, managing employee breaks and shift changes, and completing shift summary reports
- Handle guest complaints in a professional and appropriate manner
- Works as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks
- Respond to emails as needed
- Knowledge of wines and Sake
- Complete appropriate sales and tip paperwork
- Day-to-day operations with tasks including scheduling, ordering, and team development
- Ensures that all local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are followed
- Maintains fast, accurate and outstanding service, ensures excellent an customer experience, and makes sure all products are consistent with company standards
- Completes all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 -2 years of experience as a Shift Lead or Assistant Manager/Manager in the hospitality field
- California Food Handler’s Certificate
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, and the ability to be flexible and adapt in any situation
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person)
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
- Customer Service: A friendly, relaxing demeanor, courteousness and quick service will help get repeat customers
- Stamina: Long, busy days on your feet are the trademark of this job
