QualificationsExperience: 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a semiconductor, wafer fab, microelectronics, or cleanroom manufacturing setting.
Hazardous Materials: 1+ year of hands-on experience handling process chemicals, industrial gases, or wastewater (AWN) treatment systems. (Note: Specialized Chemical Hazard Training will also be provided).
Technical Skills: Diagnostic abilities across HVAC, electrical circuits, mechanical pumps, and industrial plumbing. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
Tool & Process Familiarity: Prior exposure to sputter equipment, plasma etching tools, steppers, or photolithography track lines is a huge plus.
Certifications & Systems: Working knowledge of OSHA standards; proficiency with maintenance ticketing systems (CMMS) and standard MS Office tools.
Physical Requirements: Comfort working on rooftops, accessing tight mechanical rooms, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
Responsibilities
Fab & Utility Maintenance: Perform proactive preventive maintenance and rapid corrective repairs on critical infrastructure, including HVAC units, chillers, industrial air compressors, RO water systems, pumps, coils, and LN2 bulk storage vessels.
Chemical & Environmental Operations: Oversee chemical inventory, safe gas/chemical handling, hazardous waste stream management, and monitoring of Acid Waste Neutralization (AWN) / wastewater treatment systems in full regulatory compliance.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues across the facility; perform light carpentry, painting, leak repairs, and roof-level mechanical inspections.
Equipment & Production Support: Work alongside specialized wafer fab processing equipment (e.g., 4400/4450 Sputter systems, Lam Plasma Etch, Vapor Prime, Steppers, AZ400T developers) to minimize line stops and optimize tool uptime.
Safety & Code Compliance: Conduct regular safety walks, maintain meticulous logs for regulatory audits, and ensure strict adherence to OSHA and local building/electrical codes.
Vendor & Work Order Management: Prioritize maintenance tickets, order necessary parts and supplies, and oversee specialized outside contractors for major facility upgrades.
