Participation in clinical care, medical education and administrative duties. The metabolic team includes physicians, a genetic counselor, dedicated nurse and clinical dietician. The Division also provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, other area hospitals and outreach clinic sites. Faculty members in the Division are actively involved in clinical and molecular genetics research projects. Comprehensive cytogenetics, molecular genetics and biochemical genetics diagnostic laboratories are available on site. Excellent opportunities for teaching in both didactic and clinical settings are available at the medical student and post-graduate levels. The candidate should have an interest in academic achievement in clinical genetics.
