**Position Overview:**
Responsible for overseeing radiological control activities associated with high purity depleted uranium (HPDU) operations within a chemical production environment at BWXT. This role ensures compliance with applicable radiological safety regulations, implements radiation protection programs, and supervises radiological control technicians. The position works closely with operations, engineering, and safety personnel to maintain safe handling, processing, and control of DU materials while fostering a strong radiological safety culture.

**Your Day to Day as a HPDU Radiation Control Supervisor:**
+ Supervises and implements radiological control programs for DU chemical processing operations in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
+ Ensures procedures for radiation protection, contamination control, and material handling are effectively executed.
+ Oversees radiological surveys, air sampling, contamination monitoring, and personnel dosimetry programs.
+ Ensures appropriate controls are in place to minimize radiation exposure and prevent the spread of contamination.
+ Ensures compliance with applicable TDEC, OSHA, and other federal/state radiological safety regulations.
+ Serves as a key point of contact during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
+ Leads and supervises Radiological Control Technicians (RCTs), providing guidance, training, and performance management.
+ Coordinates daily radiological control coverage to support production activities safely and efficiently.
+ Ensures personnel are properly trained and qualified in radiological safety practices, procedures, and emergency response.
+ Supports development and delivery of radiation safety training programs for employees and contractors.
+ Responds to radiological events, alarms, or abnormal conditions, ensuring proper mitigation and reporting.
+ Leads investigations into radiological incidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.
+ Supports job hazard analyses and work planning activities with a focus on ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
+ Reviews and approves radiological work permits (RWPs) and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
+ Maintains accurate radiological records, including exposure data, survey results, and contamination tracking.
+ Analyzes trends and provide reports to management on radiological performance and program effectiveness.
+ Promotes a strong radiological safety culture across the facility, reinforcing compliance and continuous improvement.
+ Collaborates with operations and safety teams to integrate radiological controls into daily activities.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, Radiation Protection, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
+ 7+ years of experience in radiological control, preferably in nuclear, DU processing, or chemical manufacturing environments.
+ Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in radiological control operations.
+ Strong knowledge of radiological protection principles, contamination control, and regulatory requirements.
+ Expe
